Commemorative Bucks of Michigan is a non-profit organization that measures and maintains records on trophy class Whitetail Deer, Black Bear, Elk and Turkeys, taken by fair chase in the state of Michigan. We use the Boone and Crockett  method to score all three big game species.

Buck Fax magazine is the official publication of Commemorative Bucks of Michigan.  Members receive the Buck Fax magazine four times a year, with the August issue being the annual records edition.  Buck Fax is mailed through out the United States and Canada. You do not need to take a record book animal to be a member of CBM and receive the Buck Fax magazine. Many of our members simply joined for the information and knowledge they could get about hunting from associating with record book class hunters.

Within the magazine,  Michigan hunters tell their hunting success stories in their own words and pictures.  Also included are articles and information for young hunters (Buck Tail Basics), quality deer management articles, recently accepted record book entries, upcoming  events and news from around Michigan.  Also record book and merchandise availability, and the top ten bucks taken for a different county.

As a service to the community Buck Fax is also mailed to every high school library and veterans hospital in the state, free of charge.
