I use to hunt hard, see a lot of deer and usually shoot a spike buck.  Then I got the first copy of the Michigan Big Game Records book.  After some research I found I was hunting in a country with very poor big buck genetics.  After some more research I changed the county I was hunting in and started shooting bigger bucks regularly.  If you are going to hunt you may as well hunt where the bigger buck are.
